für die die's interessiert: ich hatte ja letztes we einen ziemlich toten 64'er diplo heimgeholt,
bevor ich anfange ihn zu entbeinen bzw. zu zerlegen wollten ich und mein kumpel wissen wie's
um sein chevy-herz steht...
erstmal öl raus, wasser raus, kerzen raus, vergaser auf etc. etc. (das volle programm),
das vollkommen feste pg auf p kriegen, verfrindelte elektrik austricksen und mittels spezialanfertigung
die spritzufuhr für den vergaser intravenös sichern (membrane der spritpumpe ist hin...).
ich wohne halt in melsungen - heimat einer weltfirma für infusionen...

das schätzchen läuft gar nicht mal so übel, der dann doch ziemlich auf der strecke gebliebene
auspuff-rest hat dann unsere reanimations-performance zum rundum perfekten optischen und
klanglichen ensemble vollendet, anschliessend hab'ich an dem flipper (hinten rechts) erstmal den highscore geholt 8-)

irgendwie find'ich den diplo garnicht mehr sooo tot jetzt - außer das ich jedesmal auf den sich zersetzenden
sesseln ein weenig mehr einsinke :(

totgesagte leben eben doch länger ;)

heute haben wir das getriebe geöffnet, das ausgehakte gestänge repariert, öl erneuert, läuft auch wieder !
jetzt noch flugs ein paar repsätze in die bremszangen und nächste woche aus eigener kraft über den hof (???)

mache natürlich wieder'n filmchen...

...zu dem auto habe ich noch eine "rohkarosse", die der ehemalige besitzer allerdings vor drei jahren das letzte mal gesehen hatte, mitbekommen - ist'n 65'er diplo mit elektrischem schiebedach - aber seht selbst:

Hallo Konrad,
da machst Du Dir ja mächtig Arbeit mit gleich 2 Diplomaten gleichzeitig. Wie habt ihr denn diese ausgebeinte Karosse aus dem Dickicht hervorholen und verladen können, mit einem Kranwagen oder durch die Kraft vieler helfender Hände?
Die Filmszenen von der Wiederbelebung sind Dir gut gelungen.
Was mir noch aufgefallen ist.
Dein weißer Diplomat hat noch die frühe Ausführung mit der elektrischen Scheibenwaschanlage. Angesteuert wird diese elektrische Pumpe mit den Wischerschalter. Dazu die Wischer auf Stufe II laufen lassen und die Wippe kurz drücken, so wird der Kontakt geschlossen.
Diese Ausführung war nur im Diplomat zu finden. Später wurde über die Fußpumpe mechanisch gepumpt.
Viel Freude bei der weiteren Umsetzung Deines Projektes.

...so, wen's interessiert; gestern nachmittag fuhr er dann zum ersten mal seit vermutlich 1987:



bremsen vorne haben wir die sättel gleich schonmal überholt, die hinteren fehlten, da haben wir den bremskreis
erstmal leer gelassen (...wär jetzt cool für'n burnout, das ist aber eher was für die kirmes 8-) ).
die auspufftröten stammen von einem clenet-roadster (...na dann googelt mal schön was das nun ist ;)).

...wer kann mir die füllmenge für's powerglide sagen, wir haben zunächst 4 liter drin, funktoniert,
aber ruckelt beim gang einlegen, bzw. würgt den motor ab...?

Getriebeölmengen lt. WHB
Vollständig zerlegt: 7,5 l (auch der Wandler leer)
Entleert über Ölablasschraube: 2,5 l
Nachfüllmenge von "ADD" bis "F": 0,5 l
